The Superman Dailies '49-'59: The Wedding of Lois Lane and Clark Kent -- The Wedding and Honeymoon!
FINALLY! After all the headaches, diversions and delays, after all of the crossed wires and impulsive entanglements, after Luthor and Mickey Five and Miss Betty Jones, at last -- Clark Kent and Lois Lane get hitched!
(The scene in question went on to inspire, of all things, the screentest used to gauge the chemistry between Margot Kidder and Christopher Reeve prior to the filming of the 1978 Superman motion picture)
When the honeymoon vessel, the S.S.Moonglo, is scuppered by pirates, Superman takes care of the problem without wifely assistance, leaving poor Lois to fume in the cabin at her absent husband. What follows is Superman's first adventure as a married Man of Steel, and a taste of the newspaper going forward for the next three years...
(Sadly, Perry White's reason for recalling both reporters back to their journalistic duties will have to be left for another installment)
